WOW … what a weekend for the Arnold BJJ Team. From the kids to the adults EVERYONE came out and did it BIG in the Show Me State. Metals and metals and even some checks! How about that? You know the captain was proud this weekend! Super congrats to everyone!
WHAT WHAT WHAT … WAD IT BE LIKE??? TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN. Congratulations isn’t enough. We need FIREWORKS. Michelle Schramm and Mason Stritzel.
Mason Stritzel isn’t even 20 yet and ALREADY a World Champion. Climbing over 65 men ( GOT DAYUM ) to snatch that medal. Adding to his already huge hoard of medals is now a World Title. HOW ABOUT THEM APPLES!!!
And Michelle Schramm achieved what she once though impossible. As a white belt she made a remark saying “she never be a world champion” But coach Dakota Rae Zimmerman and captain Kirk Huff told her WAY BACK THEN that she could be anything she was willing to work for. And this weekend they were proven right as Michelle ascended to #1 on the podium. And to top things off achieves her purple belt RIGHT THERE on the box.
What a story. SUPER CONGRATS TO BOTH OF YOU!
Super congrats to all that competed in the STL Open this last weekend. Many medals were taken home. And even a belt changed color. Placed 3rd with the big team trophy. And look at these cool shots. What a great weekend for Arnold BJJ.
Chewy, lets jump to lightspeed! SUPER CONGRATS to our fearless leader and his side kick Dakota Storm for storming the rebel base and stealing the Wookie Gold for the Empire. Captain Kirk, working on his RED BELT, was tired of all the S$%t people were talking about how Star Wars was better than Star Trek and decided to put and end to this pitiful insignificant rebellion. So he took his powerful young Apprentice, who’s already terrorizing the Brown Belt Division, down to planet Kashyyyk and shook the competition out of their trees. They EVEN got some pics the the Chew Man himself. What a awesome set of pics! Super Congrats to them.
You hear about the storm that blasted through St Louis? … No … not that storm ->The Dakota Storm. The Dakota Storm rolled into St. Louis last weekend like a strong spring storm, fast, and unstoppable. 🌪️
She touched down in the AGF STL Pro Division with force, making her presence known and tearing up the mats with every step. And just like any real storm, she wasn’t alone…
A series of smaller storms followed in her wake—teammates inspired, fired up, and ready to ride the lightning. One by one, they crashed into their brackets, riding momentum and heart, and making noise of their own in every division they touched.
Super congrats to everyone who followed their leader and brought home golds, digits, and that post-storm glow. 🥇🥈🥉
And as always, massive respect to every single person who stepped on the mat and made this sport what it is.

After a temporary last minute setback … Instead of wallowing in the set back, Dakota flipped the script. Like Rocky in the 6th round — she came back. But this time, it was the Open Weight Division.
No size limit. No excuses. Just revenge. Defeating the same girl who caused her setback with a DECISIVE 4-0 VICTORY.

What a YEAR it’s been for our fearless leader … THE HUFF. I WAS gonna name this post Year of the Huff but turns out I already wrote that title back in May. Thats what a absolutely dominate year Captain Kirk has had. He already had beat this year up in May. … And he never stopped beating. ALL THE WAY up to the final week this year he’s been putting in WORK. Like that opening sceene in Batman …. he’s dead already VENGEANCE!!! … But Captain Kirk leads by example and everyone at Arnold BJJ and quite a few other schools as well couldn’t be prouder. Congrats on beating 2024s A$$. And here is to many ass whoppings to come!
Captain Kirk is on a TEAR this year. Gold after gold, win after win. Some people slow down when they hit the black belt summit … not Kirk. He’s working on that RED BELT. Just this weekend he took double gold again. Super congrats Captain Kirk leading by example. Huff train just don’t stop!
